Well... lets see....
So... okay.where do i even begin? The month of June has totally sucked. Ive been overwhelmed with the colorado trip i took with everything going on withthat... but i had a great time and would eventually love to move out there.
okay down to business
So i got accepted into the medic program!! woowoo
but the kicker is that i had to get a physical.. and a mantoux test for Tuberculosis. Okay so i have had many of these skin tests done before and they have always come back positive because i always assumed i had the BCG immunization back in russia. So whatever, i told my school nurse tha tand she said just to go in for a chest x-ray JUST to make sure. So when i went to have my physical, i told my doctor that so okay great- i went and had my chest xray. LUCKY me, they found modules" in my left sided lower lobe, they werent sure if it was bacteria or if it was just from maybe me moving, so when i got home from colorado i went bcak to the hospital to get another xray done , this time, there was something in my middle right lobe of my lung, and there was definetly something there. So then i had to go get a CT scan done on my lungs,(which by the way sucked, because i had to get a contrast done so they injected the dye in and it felt like my whole body was on fire and that i was pissing mypants and that i was eating metal) .. not so cool.. and they still found something there. Now,we arent sure if this is actually even Tuberculosis, but regardless of what it is, i have to do 9 Months of treatment for the Tuberculosis positive test that i have on my arm. So that really sucks, i just got done with 11 months for my live,r and here comes another 9 months. The sucky thing on this is that the treatment is really hard on the liver.... umm.. i have liver disease.. NOT good. So the doctors are trying to find ways ot maybe go around the standard treatment. I dont know.. but anyways, what has happend is that since i had a positive Mantoux test with a reaction of 11mm, they had to notify the state of minnesota, and the dakota county department of health, so now the government is involved, which god knows how well this will all go. I go in on July 9th (my moms birthday) to the Infectious disease and Immunology clinic in minnepolis at childrens hospital to get more answers to see what exactly this is. I really hope its not TB, because TB spreads really quickly, and i have come in contact with so many people in my life time that it would take away alot of things from me including my Job... considering i work as a CNA in a group home. So... I guess it sucks..
Everything else is going okay though, my heart conidition i think is stable, no more passing out episodes, my liver is actually hurting again , or maybe it is my lungs since apparently thats where the stuff was , where it hurt, but i always just thought it was where my liver was, who knows. But anyways that pain IS back, but i think it comes and goes with my period (sorry for the wonders of being a girl) But, so thats not fun,... My knee is another story, I was starting to have really bad joint problems with my knee for awhile so i finally went in to see a specialist, and they found that my left patella is laying out of the groove, so ive been doing physical therapy now for 2 months, had to buy 300$ foot orthotics, and a knee brace at all times, and ice and elevation plus pain medication for it... Its not getting better and i go to see the doctor for that again on Monday July 12th, to see what else we can do, i know surgey was brought up a couple of times...
So i guess... so...
Liver is okay- not great but doing better
Kidneys-meh whatever
Heart- better/same
Lungs- INFECTED!
WELL atleast now with 9 more months of treatment ill actually beable to keep up a steadly blog again! ....
ON TOP OF EVERYTHING... my doctors are holding my medical forms, so now i have to go talk to my program director about everything. and i also still have to update my school nurse...
GREAT. ... so sick of this!
Sorry its been so long ... ive been busy.!
